About Us
Doug is the 3rd oldest of nine Chiechi children, and has been in the meat business for 22 years. Doug started as a clean up boy in his uncle’s meat market "York Meats And Grocery" in Seattle’s Rainier Valley at the age of ten.
Doug also has worked with his brother Chris from "Fischer’s Brothers Meats" in Issaquah Washington. Doug worked there for ten years where he learned to make sausage from George Fisher and help critique the sausage recipes. (George Fisher/Fischer)
In 1993 Doug acquired Donn’s Quality Meats in Kent. After years of being called 'Donn', Doug changed the name from Donn’s Quality Meats to "DOUG’S QUALITY MEATS" in 2002.
In 2003, Doug received approval to sell wholesale from the Federal Government. He has been smoking meats for the last 12 years, and has developed all of his smoked products.
Doug works hard in the community and donates his time and money towards the Northwest Junior Livestock Show.
Among his smoked products, Doug also sells beef, pork, chicken, jerky and does custom fish, beef, hog and game. For more information on the products Doug sells, feel free to contact him today.
Doug loves the business and enjoys bringing high quality fresh meats and smoked products to his customers.
